Our AP expires on August 30 and we don't have any plans to travel this year. We have only plans for next summer.
Do I still need to get my AP renewed now? or Can I start my renewal process in next spring?
Can I renew my expired AP document?

My wife came to USA on H4 visa in January 2004. Later when she got a job, she changed that to H1B in September 2004. Since we do not yet have the EAD or green card, her company is now filing the Perm labor certifcation, to make sure that she gets the 7th year extension of H1B. The rule is that you should file the labor before the 6th year starts.
My question is when does her 5th year ends. Was it on January 2009 based on her arrival in USA or is it on Sepetember 2009 sincw her H1B visa started only on Septemeber 2004?

If you guys need any help in getting admission or if you are looking for the university that is offering full time CPT from the 1st semester just let me know, i am gonna help you out.

Nationality: French
PERM approved last April
The lawyer is planning to file this week for i131-i765-i485 (target is wednesday)
Would it be ok for me to travel abroad next week, or are there some travel restrictions after we file the forms?
Do we need an official receipt from USCIS before I can leave the US, or before I came back from the US, or any other restrictions?
Would some of you know?

I was on F1 visa and applied for my GC / I485 thru my spouse few years back. Unfortunately while coming back from India 3 years back, I used my stamped F1 visa instead of AP. My lawyer told me that due to this, I have abondoned my AOS and he has to withdraw my 485 and refile it when it will be current. Few days back spouse became current and attorney was preparing to apply for 485 again but in USCIS the status of my application was still shown pending not withdrawn. To our surprise, we saw 2 GC in the mail and the online status was shown approved. But the attorney is saying that we should re-file the 485 since USCIS did not withdraw my application and approved it. They says that I might have issues if my absence is detected when I will apply for citizenship later. Please suggest. I am so puzzled and tensed..

Hi! My drivers license has expired which was issued in Indianapolis, and I renewed the drivers license at Indianapolis which I could not get transferred to Florida ( no mail forwarding). Now question is, I want to renew new drivers license from Florida, will there be any problem if I use my old H-1B which was issued at Indianapolis, although I have shifted to Florida in a new job where my old H-1B transfer is till under process? what will the implications of using the old H1B?( I am still getting paid from my old employe)r

I had a really good experience in Nogales last week, I got my visa stamping on the same day of my appointment and the NVS International team was great. They arranged everything for me:transportation from the Tucson Airport to Nogales, they arranged my hotel stay, bank draft as well as transportation from the hotel to the consulate. I wonder how will the June\July bulletin change the job market - for technocrats...
Starting from Dec 1st many people will be eligible to switch jobs...people who were unable to do so till now.
And in Jan- many more will get into the "green" zone...
So here is the poll question:
Are you planning to change jobs ?:)
A: As soon as possible- Cant wait !!!
B:Yes- but not immediately - as soon as I find something good
C:Not Really- I am content where I am.
Starting from Dec 1st many people will be eligible to switch jobs...people who were unable to do so till now.
