Well...This is called "Heights" or "Crossing the limits". Now come on...a friend who has helped u a lot in the past, but cannot(or will not) make it to DC for whatever reasons, u r gonna cut ur relationship with him??? Either u r mean or u dont respect ur friend's decision. Different ppl have different perspectives and one shud respect that rather than cutting off valuable relationships by being narrow minded and expect others to follow what he/she is doing. Else they'll be loners all their lives.

You will get couple of July 2nd tracker under "Receipt tracker of 485, EAD and AP applications" category. USCIS forgot about few July 2nd filer or abandoned.
Hi, My application for I485 was received by Texas service centre. I have not received my RN and neither is my check has been cashed yet. I am confused looking at the online dates at www.USCIS.gov. Is there anyone who filled on 2nd of july and have not heard back from USCIS.

When we went for our Biometrics, all our FP Notices were misspelled. We informed the bio technician and she corrected on their system there itself.
After the FP, I see there is an LUD also. I am hoping today's infopass meeting would be fruitful. Let's hope they just certifiy my EAD and AP there itself. :)
My name was misspelt on my FP notice as well.when i went for FP couple of weeks back, they could not make the change there.I told them about the name misspelt, they informed that I have to call the 1-800 number and get it changed.

Thanks Kingkon. I heard the appeal takes no more than a year. but DOL in Atlanta keeps telling my HR manager that they are backlogged. I am not sure what to do.
I had my EB2 LC rejected and the reason that DOL gave was they were not able to contact the employer and/or employer did not respond to their correspondence. Lawyer gave me two option to refile (I will lose PD) or appeal. This was in 2005 when PERM had just started and the lawyers said they did not know how long the appeal process takes in PERM since it was new system. To cut the story short I received the approved LC within 45days of appeal, but my case was a simple one I think. Your case it a bit different but in no case an appeal should take 1.5 years at least in PERM.

-Priority Date: April-30-2001
We did stay on H1B (wife) and H4 (me) in the US for about 9 years total, we did extend the H1B year by year once the initial 6year period ended (labor was still pending). We left the US on Dec-27-2007 and have been outside the US since. Now we have our new 5year Turist Visa B1/B2.

Future: Company B (Has filed for Transfer under Premium Processing as of May 6)
Currently employed with A. Company B lawyer has filed a transfer on May 6 Premium Process.(I believe current status is LCA is under process).
I plan to resign on May 21 with A and travel abroad to Dubai On May 22. Will be back on June3 to usa

If you travel while an application to extend/transfer is in progress, the application is considered abandoned which in many instances results getting approval with out an I-94 at the bottom.
As far as i know, a pending application can not be used to reenter. You must have valid visa stamp in your PP for reentry unless a visa waiver or AP can be used. You can enter with Comp A's visa stamp and approved transfer copy from Company B as long as the visa is not expired.
Please check with an experienced immigration lawyer before travelling.

Yes and no. Yes will probably get the PERM for BA +5 certified. But no, you will not be approved for an EB2 I-140 petition. You will still only be able to get an EB3 I-140 approved.

I just got back from India 2 days ago using AP. I am no longer on H1-B. My port of entry was philadelphia.
Initially, our finger prints and photos were taken and sent to Secondary inspection.Usually anyone using AP to enter will be subject to secondary inspection. At the secondary inspection after verifying our AP , the officer put a seal saying AOS with a date on the AP and I-94. They will retain one copy of the AP and return one back to you. Passport and un-expired AP(both copies) was all that was needed.
When you first approach the Immigration officer let him know that you are using Advance Parole.
Surrender all your i-94s while leaving. Make a copy for your records (both sides).
I was also prepared with a letter from my employer stating that i am working as .... since ....... Just a 2 sentence employement letter from my HR and carrried copies of my recent pay stubs. Also kept my i-485 receipt letter and i-140 approval letters. All these are supporting documents. Its good to carry them if they inquire more.
The immigration officers were very friendly. No issues or concerns. Nothing to worry. i have changed jobs twice using my EAD now.
Word of advise. when talking to the immigration officer, keep your sentences short and to the point. Smile and greet when you meet. Try not using abreviations for example AP. Say 'Advance Parole'.

My LC was filed in Perm process and even got approved but the hard copy got lost in mail handling. Can I have another LC filed from the same company? Furthermore, can I reuse my first LC's postings-advertisements that the company does before filing the LC?

Mine is not h1 extension but what is called transfer - Company A to company B. Can I not enter using Company A's documents as they did not cancel my h1b and wont cancel it either. Also I will get pay stub from them till jul 15 for work done till jun 20th.
Since you have already joined company B, you should reenter, showing company Bs receipt notice, offer later, paystubs and company As approval notice along with I94 and passport.
